Now this is interesting, it's Subaru's new FA20DIT for Le Mans Prototypes. It's a 1.6 turbo charged boxer engine based on the standard block. It also has a proprietary " !!!error: Indecipherable SUB-paragraph formatting!!! " combustion process which is said to make it highly fuel and aerodynamically efficient. Revolutionary Technologies United (RTU) is behind this 550bhp project.

I was excited at first, then heard some speculation this is related to some old hucksters.
And unless they have a customer or Subaru is entering as a factory, it won't ever take to the track in anger. I'm leaning more towards scam unless Subaru themselves race it.

Looks sexy, I really hope something comes of it. Would be great for Subaru to go racing. And there are lots of benefits, inherent balancing, very low center of gravity, and low vibration for reliability.

Uh ... I wonder how many similiarities there are with these.

Then again, it's based on the FA20. :D

So much skill to make those hand cut and TIG-welded sections on the turbo. Who can teach me?
